Tour was great! Thanks for all the fish x
Warszawa cancelled. And Krakow?!
Thank you to the lovely folks who came to our show in Poznan last night, we really enjoyed it and were well looked after. Now for some bad news. The “promoter” for tonight’s gig in warzsawa emailed at midnight last night to pull out of the show for some quite vague and suspect reasons. So, all the people travelling from lodz and Poznan, etc, please don’t!! At this point we...

As well as working on new Calla stuff and working out who’s going to wear what waistcoat on tour, we’re also working on various solo projects for things that don’t quite Calla. Weikie (Adam) is releasing an album towards the end of this/start of next year. Until then he’ll be living in his tumblr over here and has this free single out with artwork by astounding Hannah...
Shittttttttttitiitititiit!!!
So sorry, we really have neglected our website recently. Mainly because we’ve been so busy with solo projects, calla recordings, flying, getting on trains for hours etc…
ANYWAY! The main news is that we now function as a three piece. We’re very sad to have to say goodbye to Mike and Thom. We respect their decisions to move on to other things (mainly work and out of the financial...

cucu26 asked: long grass...dedicated to someone?who wrote the lyrics?
callaaah asked: You've probably answered this several times and I'm just not finding it anywhere, but how did you guys get your band name? I just came across you; I think you're a wonderful group. But I was wondering because my name is actually Calla and it's not often I find people with my name or who know of my name. :)
shrigmedia:
A short and minimalist film inspired by the song Long Grass by Her Name is Calla, which you can buy here. For more information about this video or to watch it in HD, please watch it on Vimeo.
jemusushrig-deactivated20120110 asked: I really hope you don't mind, but I made a minimalist little film using Long Grass for the score... http://vimeo.com/23295127 Can't wait to see you for the millionth time in Leicester again, by the way. It's been too long <3
Anonymous asked: Great start to the gig last night and glad we caught condor and river before we had to dash off for the last train back to Edinburgh (damn you late finishing glasgow gigs!!), At least we got a good 35 mins of the show in first - look forward to seeing you in York, hope the rest of the tour goes well, Wilf.
You should get yerselfs a gig in Edinburgh sometime.
Hope you had a good night...

Anonymous asked: Wow. I feel honoured you've posted my question regarding Long Distance Runner on your website! It was a fantastic gig regardless and it was indeed very loud. All the best. Thanks for the inspirational music.x
Anonymous asked: When I first heard Dreamland on the radio I was like frozen for entire 12 minutes. I haven't heard anything even close to it for a long time. This is one of these songs that you can't listen in your car while driving. It's too hypnotizing and invokes too many memories and feelings. I just realized that words cannot express that, so I'll just say THANKS FOR MAW. :)
Anonymous asked: I hope Tom plans on giving out the five other releases of Lupercal at these solo shows that are roughly a year late. :P
fionchadd asked: Howdy :-)
I was wondering who did the artwork on your releases? Do you just use one artist or have you used a few, and how did you find them?
Your picture vinyl, by the way, is without a doubt the most beautiful piece of merchandise I have ever owned. Keep it up! xx

brianstowell asked: Hi there! I met Tom a week ago at the Josh Ritter show in Pocklington where I gushed to him about your/his band and he hooked me up with some records. I just wanted to say thank you, I'm really enjoying them and hope you guys can make it Stateside soon. I'd love to see you all live. Keep in touch! xo

Our impromptu street team
As mentioned on our Twitter and Facebook page recently, we need your help.
Normally, I do a big mail out to promote our releases, where I send the music to newspapers, magazines, zines, websites, blogs, etc for review. But since I’ve been at home caring for my mum, we’ve not been able to contact as many people as we’d like.
The support that our fans provide is always huge,...

I take it the Glasgow show at 13th Note on 28th March is no longer on?
Cheers,
Helen.

Glass Fawn
I’ve been following this kid since I started writing music back when I was 20, and he was /fourteen/. If you like Dark Ambient, you’ll love this. I certainly do.

fantasticmartin asked: Hi there. I am a big big fan of your music. Personally I think Condor and River is one of the best songs released in the last century. You have a certain air that I admire and an aesthetic that is incredibly emotional and crisp. I know the chances are very slim, but will you ever come to New Zealand? Well, anyway, if you do, please know that I will make you cookies and I am sure you will love...
trekstomachupicchu asked: I heard you guys are playing with Birds of Passage.
She's a friend of mine.
If I were in Europe, no doubt I would come and watch. That'd be an amazing gig.
