Her Name Is Calla is something that you don’t often hear anymore, unless you go searching for it. But Thief is something that you should be looking for. Ominous drums move into haunting vocals that sound so incredibly anthemic and epic once you’re done listening you look around you surprised that you’re just in your room at your laptop and not in the eye of a storm. Yes, it does feel that epic.
Her Name Is Calla is a five piece group from Leeds, Leicester and York, who are occasionally joined by other musicians to make their beautiful, atmospheric sound.

We really REALLY want to come. We applied for SXSW but didn’t get in. It’s really expensive for us to try and fly over and tour america as we don’t have any financial aid etc. Fingers crossed that the band will be in a better position to tour in the US soon. We’re always on the look out to tour there with a bigger US band to make things a little easier too
