My snare drum. Used extensively in live shows. Especially in New England. Comes with a gig bag.

My own copy of Cracked Hands of the Master Craftsman. Long since sold out.

My Squire Telecaster. Missing the pickguard and currently not working properly. It will need a slight rewire. Has been used extensively on most HNIC tours. Was famously smashed up on stage at King Tuts in Glasgow during our 2007 tour. Now obviously restored cosmetically and used since. Comes with a gig bag.

My electro-acoustic bass guitar. An unknown manufacturer. Doesn’t play too well as the neck is slightly warped. But could possibly be restored if someone wants to take the time.

Items can either be collected or I can organise recorded delivery on items to ensure that they get to you.

Oh. My. Word. Here’s a video by the astoundingly talented Robert Magpie (Ana Stefaniak) to the mid section of my ‘main’ band Her Name is Calla’s song ‘Dreamlands’ (basically me going ‘ahhhh’ a lot). It’s taken her four months of strife, toil, and hardship to do and in my opinion was worth every second. I’m incredibly humbled someone would take so much time and love over something we’ve written, and you should all check out her work and give her the credit it deserves! It’s far to easy to get lost in the fray of this internet thing, and she should certainly not be.x

Thank you to the lovely folks who came to our show in Poznan last night, we really enjoyed it and were well looked after. Now for some bad news.

The “promoter” for tonight’s gig in warzsawa emailed at midnight last night to pull out of the show for some quite vague and suspect reasons. So, all the people travelling from lodz and Poznan, etc, please don’t!! At this point we don’t even know if the show in krakow is on either as it is the same promoter who is now not replying to emails.

We were really looking forward to these shows , especially as we weren’t planning on coming back to poland and germany for 18 months. And we hate to let anyone down, but obviously this is out of our control. Poland is one of our favourite places to visit and play so we’re quite upset.

We’re kind of stranded in Poznan for a few days now, which is a lovely city to be stuck in. We will use the time to film some live acoustic performances for the folks who won’t be able to see the final two polish shows. Watch this space for news about tomorrow. We’ll update as often as we can. Videos tonight.

As well as working on new Calla stuff and working out who’s going to wear what waistcoat on tour, we’re also working on various solo projects for things that don’t quite Calla. Weikie (Adam) is releasing an album towards the end of this/start of next year. Until then he’ll be living in his tumblr over here and has this free single out with artwork by astounding Hannah McHague, (who also did the cover art for The Quiet Lamb.)

So sorry, we really have neglected our website recently. Mainly because we’ve been so busy with solo projects, calla recordings, flying, getting on trains for hours etc…

ANYWAY! The main news is that we now function as a three piece. We’re very sad to have to say goodbye to Mike and Thom. We respect their decisions to move on to other things (mainly work and out of the financial vortex and endless travel that is a band). They will be sorely missed and have been with the band since day one.

The other news is that you can see us on tour. VERY SOON!

Long Grass was written by Tom - it’s quite autobiographical, and I’m sure he has secretly dedicated it to someone.

You've probably answered this several times and I'm just not finding it anywhere, but how did you guys get your band name? I just came across you; I think you're a wonderful group. But I was wondering because my name is actually Calla and it's not often I find people with my name or who know of my name. :)

Hey Calla! Thanks for your message :) We often meet people with the name Calla - it’s such a pretty name! But our band name was named not after a person, animal or thing - it’s a secret kept by the five of us…
